POOREST TOWNS IN THE UNITED STATES

These are the poorest places in the United States with 1,000 people or more. Most of these places are unincorporated. All are either along the Texas-Mexico border or are on Indian reservations.

The Mexican border towns listed here are so poor that they have lower per capita incomes than the average for the country many of their inhabitants just left, Mexico.
