MODERATELY LARGE AND LARGE COUNTIES (100,000 PEOPLE OR MORE) WITH THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF THEIR 2000 PRESIDENTIAL VOTE FOR GEORGE W. BUSH

Among counties (and parishes) with at least 100,000 people in the 2000 presidential election, Gore had 51.0% vote versus Bush's 45.2% of the vote (not including independent cities not in any county). The counties which voted most heavily for Bush in the U.S. were generally very small counties, though counties in this list varied in population from 104,000 in Randall County, Texas to 368,000 in Utah County, Utah.
