COUNTRIES WITH THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF THE POPULATION WHO ARE JEWISH
The United States has more Jewish people in the world
(even more than Israel) with 5,800,000. Israel, of course, has the
highest percentage of its population being Jewish. Monaco is #2 due to its small size and a community of Jewish retirees from other countries (including France). Numerous events
in the 20th Century, from atrocities during and just before World War II
to the formation of Israel in 1948, drastically changed the distribution of
Jews around the world.
