At a moderate elevation (around 2500 feet), a pair of waterfalls...
Once you reach the mountain crest (a little above 4000 feet) along the highway between Almirante and David, it becomes a little bit drier...

Further south (near Gualaca), is a seasonally dry area (this was February, during the dry season). There is even a mesa in this view...

Pan-American Highway west of Santiago. This highway is mostly in good condition...
Between Santiago and Panama City, the Pan-American Highway is a freeway...
