* The capital of Palau was moved from Koror (population 10,743) to the tiny village of Ngerulmud (which had no population listed in the 2005 census) in 2006. Ngerulmud is in the state of Melekeok, which is so small that it had a population of only 391 in the 2005 census (though likely had more after 2006 due to the new capital).
