STATES WITH THE HIGHEST AND LOWEST PERCENTAGES OF THEIR PEOPLE WHO ARE MARRIED

Rural states, especially in the interior parts of the United States, rank highest among people (15 years or older) who are married. States which large urban areas rank lowest, though there are a few oddities, like Louisiana and Mississippi, most likely because African-Americans (plentiful in both states) have much lower marriage rates than others in the United States.
