Bonus List

FIVE U.S. STATES (AND THE ONLY FIVE) THAT HAVE NO NATIVE CACTI

Only five states in the U.S. have no native cacti (even states like Minnesota, Wisconsin and Massachusetts have native prickly pear cacti (Opuntia). Oddly, our most tropical state has no native cacti (due to its botanical isolation), though cacti have been planted (and have naturalized).

1. Alaska
2. Hawaii
3. Maine
4. New Hampshire
5. Vermont
