List from Chapter 11 (Change)
COUNTRIES WITHOUT ANY FM RADIO STATIONS--THE DISAPPEARING ACT!
Things change rapidly in the developing world. According to the CIA World Factbook's
data from 1998 to 2001 (the source of information for a list in Chapter 11), there were 5
countries without an FM radio station:
1. Ethiopia
2. Kiribati
3. Nauru
4. Solomon Islands
5. Tuvalu
All 5 nations now have at least one FM radio station (Kiribati reportedly has two). Thus, all
192 independent nations around the world have one or more FM radio stations (even countries
like Afghanistan, East Timor and the smallest nation in the world, Vatican City, are included).
Thus, this list has quickly become obsolete. As statistics are very fluid, more of the lists
will change in the future; however, some lists (such as the weird place and street names) will
likely stay constant for many years.
