BONUS GEOGRAPHY LISTS:
THE AMAZING RACE
One of the most popular TV shows in the United States is educating viewers about travel around the world. Through the end of 5th season, the show had accumulated 37 nations, including the United States, but not including airport-only stops, like Bahrain or Japan (since different contestants will sometimes transit through different airports). Some countries have been visited during multiple seasons, including India, which was a stop during three different seasons.

So...here are a few lists...

TEN MOST POPULOUS COUNTRIES TO HAVE NOT BEEN IN THE AMAZING RACE
Of the 25 most populous countries in the world, 10 have yet to be visited by The Amazing Race.

1. Indonesia *
2. Pakistan
3. Bangladesh
4. Nigeria
5. Japan *
6. Iran
7. Turkey *
8. Ethiopia
9. Congo, Dem. Rep.
10. Ukraine

* Countries which I think are very likely to appear in future seasons of The Amazing Race. However, Indonesia will more likely be visited if it is removed from the list of countries which have U.S. State Department travel warnings.

TEN LARGEST COUNTRIES (BY AREA) TO HAVE NOT BEEN IN THE AMAZING RACE
The Amazing Race has only been to 10 of the 25 largest countries by land area.

COUNTRIES IN THE AMAZING RACE WHICH REQUIRE VISAS IN ADVANCE FOR AMERICANS
These countries require embassy-issued visas to be placed in a traveler's passport before he or she arrives (usually several weeks beforehand), if the traveler is a citizen of the United States. Therefore, contestants in The Amazing Race might have known that they were going to visit these countries (but then, some extra visas for countries they were not visiting could have been issued so that the contestants could not be certain to where they were traveling).

2. China
3. India
4. Russia
5. Vietnam

Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, United Arab Emirates and Zambia also require visas for U.S. citizens; however, they may be obtained upon entry.
